Halle Berry posted a sweet tribute to James Bond castmate Pierce Brosnan 20 years after her iconic beach bikini scene made history in Die Another Day.
The 56-year-old actress took a walk down 007 memory lane as she rooted out footage from her time playing Bond girl Jinx Johnson.
Released in 2002, the clip showed the then 36-year-old seductively emerging from the ocean in a striking orange bikini as Pierce in the role of the famous secret agent looked on through binoculars.
Showing off a knife strapped to her hip via a white belt, the actress looked poised and ready to ward off danger with her ‘forever’ Bond actor Pierce.
Tagging the famous face in her Instagram story and static post, Halle captioned the nostalgic moment with: ‘….it’s been 20 years. Pierce Brosnan forever my BOND! @piercebrosnanofficial [sic]’.
This wasn’t the first time Halle wanted to revisit her famous Jinx role.
The actress was reportedly in talks with Die Another Day producer Barbara Broccoli at the time about a spin-off for the bikini clad heroine but all bets were off after the studio withdrew the budget for production.
Speaking to Variety, the star revealed there could be a John Wick spinoff in the future for her that would be ‘putting some ointment on a little sore’ following the Jinx axing.
She told the publication: ‘It was very disappointing.
‘It was ahead of its time.’
‘Nobody was ready to sink that kind of money into a Black female action star.
‘They just weren’t sure of its value. That’s where we were then.’
Keeping to the tone of throwback pictures, the star also uploaded a gallery of polaroid pictures from a 1999 movie fitting that featured the actress in various lingerie sets.
