#EndBadGovernance: DSS to Reveal Sponsors of Foreign-Flag-Flying Protesters

The Department of State Services (DSS) has announced plans to disclose the identities of those sponsoring protesters flying foreign flags during the nationwide demonstrations against hunger and hardship in northern states. During a joint news conference in Abuja, DSS Spokesperson Peter Afunanya stated that the identities of these individuals will be made public soon.

Afunanya urged Nigerians to be patient with the Federal Government, noting that the DSS has already arrested some of the sponsors behind the flag-flying incidents. The appearance of foreign flags in several northern states has sparked concerns nationwide.

"Individuals are now exhibiting behaviors that threaten the security, welfare, and order of society. We cannot remain idle. We have detained the sponsors of those involved with the flags. This issue extends beyond children simply flying flags; there is more to it," Afunanya stated.

He explained that certain details of their operations could not be disclosed due to their sensitive nature and ongoing investigations. "Rest assured, we ask for your patience. You will hear from us soon. We are diligently pursuing these issues and will see them through to the end. You may be surprised by what we reveal to the public," he concluded.
