Cute Maasai tribal pattern dresses for an evening party

The rich colours can make for great shirts, dresses and jackets
In Summary
• The traditional Masai pattern has been embraced for different clothes designs

• Beyond shukas and blankets, it’s found its way to outfits including evening dresses

Evening dates should definitely find you dressed in a very comfortable outfit.

The outfit should not restrict your movement or opportunity to take part in the enjoyable moments for the night.

It’s mostly advisable to rock trousers, but dresses also work well.

Long dresses with a bareback and off-shoulder neck style are the best.

Despite the length, dinner dresses have a long slit.

The outfits are well-matched with heels and not flat shoes, at least block or chunky heels.

However, if it’s an indoor event, then both flat shoes and open heels can work.

A pretty top and jeans are foolproof, whether you’re wearing flats or a trendy kitten heel.

In the colder months, you can’t fail in a sweater dress and pretty jewellery.

For a casual meet-up with friends or family, you can totally embrace laid-back pieces like a cozy sweater, loose-fitting jumpsuit or sneakers.

The traditional Masai pattern has been embraced for different clothes designs.

Maasai print is no longer an indoor outfit. It has evolved to become an outstanding evening outfit.

It is traditional wear associated with the Maasai people of East Africa.

The Maasai shuka is a strong and thick cloth to protect them from the harsh weather and terrain of the savannah.

Apart from the common red print for the Maasai design, we also have varied colours being embraced currently.

These days we have yellow and black, blue and black and green and black prints.

The original Maasai print was red and black.

These designs are no longer limited to shukas and blankets.

Designers have found a way to even design shirts, dresses and jackets using the Maasai pattern.

The most common print embraced by fashion designers is blue and red print.

We also have outfits that have multiple colours blended together.

However, the most dominant colour remains to be a representation of Maasai pattern.

For instance, there’s a print that has yellow, green, black and blue altogether.

Designers choose to have yellow and black to stand out. The other colours only appear as stripes.

This design is liberated in terms of the length of the dress.

One can choose an extra maxi dress or have an above-the-knee-length dress.

The neck style and waist up to the hands could be plain linen.

Instead of having the whole outfit with Masai pattern, one can have a plain-coloured top material.

This will increase the elegance of the outfit.
